Shortly after the news broke that Kim Kardashian had filed papers to divorce Kris Humphries, she hopped on a plane to Australia with her sisters to promote their new line of handbags. But obviously, nobody really cares about their designs now and when Kim and and Khloe sat down to talk to the hosts of the Australian radio show, Kyle and Jackie O, it was no surprise when Kyle and Jackie O asked Kim about the split. After saying there’s no easy way to go through “something like this,” she said, “I do want to make clear that I would never marry for a TV show, for money or for anything like that. I think it’s really ridiculous that I have to defend that. I guess that’s what comes along when you film your wedding for a reality show.” You can watch two clips from the interview below.
It’s kind of interesting that she doesn’t understand why we would think she would marry for money. Does she not realize that she’s made every decision in her life based on whether or not she would make money? Think about it — she’s agreed to endorse all these products so she can make money. She appears on television so she can make money. She attends high-profile events so she can make money. She designs clothes so she can make money. Why doesn’t it occur to her that her behavior forces us to assume she would get married to make money, too?
