Ryan Gosling Explains Street-Fight Video

Last month, Ryan Gosling appeared — or appeared to appear — in a poorly shot video in which he broke up a street fight in New York City. The video made its way online, and Gosling’s stardom surged even higher.

The ubiquitous Drive star addressed the video in an interview with MTV on Wednesday, saying he had just come from the gymnasium (that’s right, he doesn’t merely call it a ‘gym’) and was “stretched out” and felt the need to intervene in a brawl that erupted over artwork.

“I’m embarrassed. I should have just kept my nose out of it,” he said. Presumably, his publicity team didn’t feel the same way.
