Snooki Breaks Up with Her Boyfriend

snooki and jionniSnooki is back to snookin’ for love! Us Weekly reports that Snooki and her boyfriend of eight months, Jionni LaValle, have broken up. Apparently Jionni went to visit Snooki in Italy last weekend, but he left earlier than he was supposed to and returned home because they spent the whole time fighting. The downfall was said to have started at a club in Florence (perhaps they argued over how the Jersey Shore cast isn’t even supposed to be in clubs or any other places that serve alcohol!?), where they had a huge public blowout. Pictures indicate that the day after their argument, Jionni and Snooki tried to make up and were seen cuddling on some stairs and very appropriately obstructing the entrance into what looks to be a location that’s crawling with tourists. The slightly less credible magazine, Life & Style, has infinitely more speculative details on what caused the relationship to end, and their sources indicate the tension was brought on by the fact that their relationship was a long distance one, and that Jionni told Snooki that if she screwed up in Italy and cheated on him, that they would most definitely be done. (You’ll recall how in the very first episode of Jersey Shore, Snooki and her then-boyfriend were making meatballs in the kitchen and rubbing the tomato sauce on each other and in an aside, she told us she was going to try not to cheat on her boyfriend in Seaside but that it was really up to Jose Cuervo.) So if Snooki was having a hard time staying faithful to Jionni in Italy, then at least her habits of sitting in mini fridges to soothe her sunburned ass can be countered with the knowledge that she actually could possibly be somewhat more self-aware than an elevator that knows it’s better to go up to the top of a building first and then pick up passengers as it descends towards street level.
