Naming Pokemon is totally underrated. Ever since we saw an ekans named Ekanescence, we kind of became obsessed with finding out what sort of puns people can come up with. Leave it to the youth of America come up with the best of them all.
After catching a bunch of Pokemon on Pokemon Go, this mama decided to let her two-year-old do the naming, which was obviously a brilliant idea. This toddler is wise beyond his years. His stream-of-consciousness style of name choice really helps capture the essence of each character.
Seriously, it’s so innocent and charming. Look at his name for Psyduck.
Ekans is pretty obvious too (but this two-year-old still needs to work on his grammar a bit).
Zubat is, well, a bat. It’s bat!
And here’s where things start to go a bit off the rails. Weedle is a turtle?
Um…Potato?
We’re not sure what Jigglypuff is either.
It would appear by this point, the two-year-old stopped paying attention.
We’re not sure what he was going with here.
I guess this one is kind of accurate.
We won’t debate the intricacies of different kinds of birds. Pidgey might as well be a chicken.
We bet you couldn’t come up with better names even if you caught them all!
