DO IT TODAY: ‘Greek’ Premiere

Greek Premiere
(Monday, Mar. 30, 2009)

Funny that Greek kids are supposed to be older than Gossip Girl kids. Then again, perhaps there’s less absurd hyperbole in ABC Family’s beloved kids-in-college series, and that is where the appeal lies. It’s like reality — imagine that! A sassy ode to the warped world of sororities, fraternities and all of its can-you-measure-up traditions, the second season returns from hiatus tonight (8PM ET/PT). Casey is back from her summer internship (thanks to Lauren Conrad for visiting Casey in her dreams!) with a gigantic secret: She wants out of the sorority house. Rusty, who has since survived Hell Week, now aims to adjust to his new frat life in earnest. Meanwhile, Calvin’s high-school bro Andy begins his freshman year — enter Jesse McCartney, the Summerland orphan (again, can’t believe he’s “older” than Chuck, Nate and Lonely Boy!). The jock is an insta-Greek commodity, and two houses (Calvin’s and Rusty’s) vie for his brotherhood.
