Stanely Tucci In ‘Captain America’, Too

Stanley TucciI remember a time (just a few months back, in fact) when news about Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment’s Captain America: The First Avenger was scarce. Those days are long gone as we inch closer and closer to the start of production while the films cast continues to grow and get better and better. Today, Marvel announced that another acclaimed actor will join the ranks of Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan and Toby Jones (to name a few): Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci.

Super Hero Hype reports that Tucci will play Dr. Abraham Erskine, a German scientist who in many of the early comics was behind Project Rebirth, the secret experiment that created the Super Soldier known as Captain America.

A character actor capable of completely transforming himself for a role, Tucci is one of the finest performers working in the business today. His presence in the film, no matter how extensive or brief, can only be viewed as a win for everyone. I just can’t wait to hear what kind of creepy German accent he’ll deliver…
