Call me crazy, but I have a serious spray habit. I stock thermal waters and hydrating mists in my fridge, keep mini Caudalie elixirs in my purse—I even have an emergency mist on my desk at all times. I’m not sure when it started, but like Miley, I really can’t stop. It’s the first thing I do before I put on any moisturizer and the last thing I do after I finish my makeup routine.
It’s the first and last step of my beauty routine.
I blame the misting obsession on a friend who taught me ways of French born Epidermologist and Holistic nutritionist, Isabelle Bellis. Bellis believes that spraying thermal water pre-applying products preps the skin to recieve the product best. My facialist in New York, Julia March, also swears by thermal water, as it’s clean and is free of the damaging elements we find in tap water, like chlorine, lead, and other toxins .
Sprays can help your skin recieve other products better.
My obsession reaches another level outside of my apartment with the elixirs and mists. Caudalie is still my number one favorite. Between the scent and the sensation, the Beauty Elixir really just does it for me on all fronts. Sulwhasoo has a phenomenal one as well; it dries quickly and fills the aromatherapy-vibe void in my beauty routine. And when I’m feeling a bit more luxe, I’ll spray Chanel’s Hydra Beauty Essence Mist to set my make up or rehydrate me on long flights.
