Heroes star Hayden Panettiere‘s father Alan has been released on $50,000 bail after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife.
Alan Panettiere was arrested after the alleged incident in West Hollywood, California on Monday morning, August 11, and was released from custody the same afternoon.
He was held for 10 hours in Los Angeles County sheriff’s custody and was charged with felony domestic violence following the fight with wife Lesley.
A witness tells People.com, “When they were both about to leave, they had a heated argument outside the restaurant. They were doing a good amount of yelling.”
Panettiere has played down the incident, telling website TMZ.com that it “was blown out of proportion.”
