CNN engineers first aerial coverage

CNN’s rivals were caught off-guard Sunday when the all-news cable network began broadcasting the first aerial footage of the devastation from a Coast Guard helicopter. A Coast Guard official later told the New York Times that he had not expected CNN would use the footage as an exclusive and demanded that the cable network make it available to all other news organizations.
