Fall Movie Guide ’04 – Movies Opening Oct. 22

The Hype:
An American nurse (Gellar) living and working in Tokyo is exposed to a supernatural curse that causes powerful rage, which spreads the curse to another victim before claiming lives.

The Hype:
Refusing to spend another holiday alone, Drew Latham (Affleck) decides to go back to his idyllic childhood home to spend the holidays with his family. There is, however, just one problem: The people living there now are not Drew’s family. Nevertheless, his idea of an old-fashioned Christmas must go on. Drew manages to bribe his new chosen family, the Valcos, to spend Christmas with him. The Valcos begin to question whether any amount of money can replace the times they spend together without their new addition.

The Hype:
Trevor (Bale) has not slept in so long that he has actually lost the ability to sleep. It wouldn’t be so bad, except that he operates heavy machinery. As if machinery equipment is not dangerous enough, Trevor deliberately adds to the risk by living his entire life in a state of fatigue. This is no ordinary insomnia, because in the life of Trevor Reznik, his insomnia is killing him.
