‘Titans’ Top Pick with Moviegoers

It’s got high school football, a rosy view of race relations and luminary Denzel Washington. Now Disney’s “Remember the Titans” can add an A+ rating to its roster.

The movie research firm CinemaScore Online named “Remember the Titans” as the year’s highest-rated film in its audience surveys. CinemaScore surveys Friday (opening) night theater audiences across the country, asking moviegoers to grade the film from A+ to F. The ratings are broken down into groups of male and female; ages under 21; 21 to 34; and 35 and up.

Since its Sept. 29 release, “Remember the Titans” has reigned at the box office, despite mixed critical reviews. The Jerry Bruckheimer production is the only film this year to receive an overall A+ rating in CinemaScore’s audience surveys.
