Ted Turner is expected to resign as vice chairman of AOL Time Warner before
the end of the year, the Wall Street Journal reported today (Friday),
citing an unnamed person close to Turner. The source said that Turner
remains upset over the way in which he was pushed aside following the AOL
merger. As one of the company’s largest stockholders, Turner is expected to
remain on its board of directors, something, the WSJ observed, that
would allow him to continue to have access to inside information and thereby
“become a thorn in the side of senior management” as a company critic.
