Viewers still have “20/20” vision

Audiences loyally followed Barbara Walters‘ move to Wednesday night with 20/20, giving the show the biggest numbers for the night. Walters‘ interview with Anne Heche posted a 10.5 rating and a 17 share, almost twice the numbers posted by 20/20 Downtown in the same slot a week earlier. Meanwhile, NBC’s series premiere of Lost won the 8:00 hour with a 7.5/12 against the CBS reality show Big Brother 2 (6.9/11) and ABC’s My Wife and Kids (5.5/9). At 9:00, the debut of Jerry Bruckheimer’s The Amazing Race on CBS also performed well, earning a 7.5/11, but losing out to the season finale of Fear Factor on NBC (8.8/13), Two back-to-back editions of The Drew Carey Show on ABC averaged a 4.7/7.
