Will Harry rescue Warner Bros.?

After failing to produce a blockbuster since 1999’s The Perfect Storm, Warner Bros. is hoping that Harry Potter will rescue it from its current box office slump, the Wall Street Journal observed today. Already regarded as a can’t-miss release, the newspaper noted that since the Sept. 11th attacks, “conventional wisdom” in Hollywood suggests that audiences are likely to flock to a film like Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, in which, said the WSJ, “good, more often than not, triumphs over evil.”
