Those of us hoping that Glee would keep trying to tap into some of that Season One magic are in luck. The Fox show will bring us a Michael Jackson tribute episode akin to Season One’s Madonna tribute on Jan. 24 of next year.
According to TV Guide, the episode will feature a whopping 10-12 Jackson songs, so it looks like we can expect a bit of an extended music video. I’m not quite sure how they’re going to squeeze that into a season already overflowing with an excess of storylines, but it’s Glee, so we can bet they’ll make it happen.
We can also be sure they won’t tackle “Thriller” because they hit that up in the Super Bowl episode and Season Three’s sectionals episode removes “ABC,” “Man in The Mirror,” and Janet Jackson’s hit “Control” from the list of possibilities for the tribute. But hey, it’s not like they’ve got a seemingly endless catalogue of hits to work with…oh wait.
The Jackson family has given Ryan Murphy and crew their full support for the tribute episode, are you excited to see the M.J. episode?
