Things are about to get pretty steamy and conflicted over on The Vampire Diaries. Okay, things are about to get steamier and more conflicted than they usually are. The CW just released photos from the Feb. 9 episode of the hit series and it looks like Elena could be the subject of a heated love triangle once again, while Caroline seems to be garnering all of Klaus’ attention.
We find Elena sharing a dance with Damon, and later getting rather close to Stefan. Could Stefan be reconsidering his choices? Does Damon have competition once again? Let’s hope! This could be good. Either that or Katherine is playing the classic doppleganger game again.
As for Caroline, we see her with the hybrid who saved her life, first hitting the dance floor and then having what looks like a very instense conversation outside. Could it be that she’s considering letting the enemy romance her? And what about Tyler? What’s he going to have to say about all this?
Unfortunately, we’re a few weeks away from seeing what these photos mean within the context of the episode, which means we’re in for some serious pining. The next episode, “The Ties That Bind,” airs Jan. 19 and we’ll find Bonnie reuniting with her mother, more head-butting between Klaus and Stefan, Tyler struggling to regain his free will, and Damon taking a particular interest in Alaric’s new flirting buddy, Dr. Fell.
