‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ on Broadway Announces New Cast Members

Based on the 1993 film of the same name, here is everything we know about Mrs. Doubtfire on Broadway.

Mrs. Doubtfire on Broadway introduces 5 new cast members

On March 31, the show announced new cast members. Titus Landegger and Tyler Wladis will share the role of middle child Chris Hillard while Austin Elle Fisher and Ava Gail Prince will split the role of younger daughter Natalie Willard. Renée Reid also will join the company as a swing. All 5 are making their Broadway debut.

Tyler Wladis’s credits include Paramount+’s The Fairly Oddparents: Fairly Odder (Roy), ABC’s Single Parents (Graham), and FOX’s A Christmas Story Live (Randy). Austin Elle Fisher has appeared on Atlanta (Hulu), Jigsaw (Netflix), and Blues Clues & You! (Nickelodeon). Ava Gail Prince is known for her appearance on Netflix’s Outer Banks. Renée Reid’s credits include Hairspray and Dreamgirls National and International tours.

Mrs. Doubtfire on Broadway will feature returning cast members

Returning cast members include Rob McClure (Daniel Hillard), Jenn Gambatese (Miranda Hillard), Peter Bartlett (Mr. Jolly), Charity Angél Dawson (Wanda Sellner), Mark Evans (Stuart Dunmire), J. Harrison Ghee (Andre Mayem), Analise Scarpaci (Lydia Hillard) and Brad Oscar (Frank Hillard). 

What is Mrs. Doubtfire about? 

After losing custody of his kids in a messy divorce, Daniel Hillard, a struggling actor, creates a new alter ego, nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire, to spend time with his kids. During his time as Mrs. Doubtfire, Daniel learns how to be there for his family. 

Four time-Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks directs with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick

When and where is Mrs. Doubtfire on Broadway playing?

Mrs. Doubtfire reopens on April 14th, 2022 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The theatre is going by the following COVID safety measures: wearing a properly fitted mask at all times while on the premises, temperature checks prior to entering the theatre, certifying whether you have been exposed to COVID-19 prior to entering the theatre, social distancing when reasonable, and contact tracing. Through April 30th, 2022, audience members are required to be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination status.
