When will programming return to normal?

It was still not clear when television programming would return to complete normalcy. In the wake of what one lawmaker called “a massive intelligence failure,” all three networks have postponed drama series that prominently feature the CIA, including the new CBS series The Agency. (“It also happens that none of the shows is any good,” commented columnist Tom Shales in today’s Washington Post.) CBS said that Late Show with David Letterman and Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn will return tonight. NBC said that the Tonight Show with Jay Leno will return on Tuesday.
