Over on Madison Avenue, you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who isn’t afraid to look at Don Draper the wrong way. But over at Rockefeller Center, he doesn’t exactly get the same kind of respect. Last night, Mad Men star Jon Hamm paid a visit to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, engaging in the truest testament of a human being’s physical and psychological endurance: Water War.
Viewers are used to seeing Hamm in a particularly dignified light. On his AMC series, he regularly handles stressful professional and personal problems without losing an ounce of his suave and debonair demeanor. So seeing Hamm doused with glasses of water over and over again—until that final blast from the fateful water-cannon—is sort of cathartic. It’ll remind you that even the most seemingly perfect individuals out there can be taken down by a high-stakes game of Water War.
Mad Men comes back to AMC with its two-hour fifth season premiere on Sunday, March 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Check out our interview with Hamm about the return of his hit series.
