MTV has created a new show where they put 10 guys and 11 girls (in this season, at least) in a house together, in Puerto Rico, and tell them to find their perfect match, because they’re literally right in front of them. It’s the second season of Are You The One, with new cast members and every crazier situations! There was a broken nose in the first episode, and it didn’t even happen during a fight. Have you not tuned in yet? Let’s go a little more into why you should, now that we’re 3 episodes deep in the series.
1. The shows concept is intriguing. It’s something we haven’t seen in another reality series.
“If you’re perfect match was standing right in front of you, would you even know?” Really though, if you think about it, if you were put in a house with someone who could be your perfect match, how would you figure it out? Would you be able to? It’s interesting to watch couples like Paris and Pratt who immediately consider themselves matches get together, while other people like Ellie aren’t quick to jump into anything. As she said last night, “I just don’t believe you can fall in love in a week. You need to know what someones farts smell like.”
2. But they’ve only got 10 weeks to figure things out.

10 weeks, 10 tries, all for love…and a shot at $1 million (to split between 20, that is). Week 3 showed us some progress, bringing in 3 matches, one more than tlast week’s 2 matches. But they’re no closer to knowing who those perfect matches actually are. Maybe the guys should stop leaving Tyler out and consider her. Looks like in episode four the group will need to learn a new strategy, and if that preview is anything to go from, things will be pretty intense.
3. The things people will admit on this show are extremely hilarious.
Oh jeeeeepers @Pratt_MTV come on bruh #AreYouTheOne pic.twitter.com/qYb4m6WeRn

To add onto that thought, Pratt also said: “I’ve taken a girl’s virginity before, and she didn’t leave my apartment for three weeks.” That’s not even the half of it. Everyone on this show is having so much fun partying, you don’t even realize just how much they’ve had to drink until they start droppng the truth bombs. Or, you know right away when someone has had too much, because that’s when the fights start. Que Natahan crying over Shelby, while a very sweet Pratt tries to get him to calm down.
4. The Truth Booth is the best part of each episode.
Hey @Tindel10 and @MTV_Christina. Ever get the feeling you’re being watched? #AreYouTheOne pic.twitter.com/Zrb64u7jPC

The Truth Booth is where couples go to find out if they’re a “perfect match.” But you don’t get to decide on your own if you’re going to the TB. You need to be voted into there, after winning the most recent challenge, by your housemates. It’s easily the most stress-inducing part of each episode, which makes it the most interesting for viewers. Every week, you sit there shouting at your screen, telling them “NO! Not Brandon AGAIN!” But then, it’s actually funny to watch Brandon go into the truth booth, for the 3rd time in a row.
5. The competition between some of the men is just starting to HEAT UP.

Nathan wants Shelby, but Shelby wants Dario, but kind of wanted Nathan, that is until he freaked out. And that’s only 3 people, there are still 18 other people in this house. What’s going on with Pratt and Paris next episode? Or Jenni-Anthony-Jess-Layton? There’s so much drama, you can’t fathom how it’s all packed into a 60-minute episode. It leaves you craving more.
