Community will soon be giving an homage to the man who basically made homages cool — Quentin Tarantino. What do you even call an homage to an homage? Hohomage? Doesn’t matter. What does matter is that Community will be channeling the spirit of Pulp Fiction in an upcoming episode for Abed’s birthday. Now this is kind of spoilery, so be warned, but it won’t be a theme episode like the zombies, paintball, or NASA. Instead, the gang will willingly give in to the homage as they dress up for Abed’s party. Shirley will be playing Samuel L. Jackson’s part (HELL TO THE YES DEGREE) and Britta will be playing Uma Therman’s part (SURE, WHY NOT). So the characters in Community will be aware they’re playing characters in a homage to characters that weren’t aware they were homages. Yo, Dan Harmon, enough Inception stuff – you’ve gone deep enough.
