The premiere of Two and a Half Men may be competing for ratings with Comedy Central’s Roast of Charlie Sheen, but it’s possible the sitcom could find a bit of an edge. Reportedly, producers would like to have Sheen’s ex, Denise Richards show up as part of the parade of Charlie Harper’s ex-girlfriends. She appeared on two episodes of the series when Sheen was still a lead actor and a source says they’d love to have her back. It’s no surprise they’d want her back; being able to combat Sheen’s comedy special with his actual ex-wife, who’d be sure to throw cheeky barbs at the force of nature that is her ex-husband while one of the most likable actors in Hollywood takes over his former post would certainly be a coup. However, it’s not a sure thing.
Apparently, they already offered Richards the opportunity and she declined out of “respect” to Sheen, but they are still hoping she’ll come back around. As of now, we know that John Stamos and Jenny McCarthy will be onhand for Ashton Kutcher’s first episode and Charlie Harper’s farewell, so at least we know we’ve got a few good cameos to look forward to even if Richards sticks to her guns.
