What Is The Guest About?
Published in 2024, Cline’s novel follows Alex, a young woman who relies on manipulation and deception to navigate the wealthy social circles of the Hamptons. Set against the backdrop of an affluent summer community, the story explores privilege, identity, and the lengths someone will go to maintain access to a world that may not want them.
The book received widespread critical recognition, appearing on numerous year-end best-of lists and earning a spot on the PEN/Faulkner Award longlist.
What’s Next for Sadie Sink?
The potential project adds to an increasingly busy period for Sink. After gaining widespread recognition as Max Mayfield on Netflix’s Stranger Things, she has expanded her résumé with acclaimed film and stage performances.

Sink has also entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jean Grey, with a role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and a planned appearance in the upcoming X-Men reboot, scheduled for May 5, 2028.
Meanwhile, Scafaria brings experience across film and television, having directed Hustlers and episodes of Succession.
Although the casting and filmmaking deals for The Guest remain in development, Sink’s potential involvement signals another intriguing project for the rising star. Further details, including a production timeline and release date, have not yet been announced.
