Cable sports network ESPN is expected to announce Friday that it will produce its first made-for-television movie and make other alterations to its programming in an effort to regain viewers, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday. ESPN President George Bodenheimer told the newspaper that the cable channel will spend in excess of $25 million annually on original programming, beginning with a two-hour movie, A Season on the Brink: A Year with Bob Knight and the Indiana Hoosiers, which is due to air in March.
