Formerly known as Puff Daddy, Sean Combs now says he was “only kidding” when he said he wanted to be called P. Diddy, and really just wants to be called Sean Combs. “It was all just a joke,” a friend of the rapper told the New York Post. “Everyone knew he wasn’t serious, but then MTV put out a release on it, so then it was taken seriously. He is just Sean Combs. That is it. Period.” Of course, that’s a direct contradiction to what Sean Combs told MTV last month: “No more Puff Daddy… I just want something fresh… I’m rockin’ with P. Diddy now.”
