The 17-year-old son of Prince Charles spent a day visiting with heroin and cocaine addicts at a rehab clinic in south London after admitting to heavy drinking and marijuana use while only 16.
Daddy Prince Charles arranged for the trip to open Harry’s eyes about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair, whose own underage son was involved in an alcohol-related incident, stated that the royal family handled the situation “absolutely right.”
The British tabloids are all in an uproar, publishing accounts of Harry’s dalliances, which alledgedly took place at Prince Charles’s Highgrove estate and a nearby pub.
A spokesman for Prince Charles said, “This is a serious matter which was resolved within the family and is now in the past and closed.”
Harry is third in line to the British throne after his father and brother, Prince William, 19.
