Stan Lee Media cofounder Peter Paul, a convicted felon, claims that U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) accepted more than $2 million in campaign contributions from him, but never reported them to the Federal Elections Committee. After the former first lady was criticized for accepting money from a convicted felon, a spokesperson for Clinton said all contributions from Paul had been returned, the lawsuit says. In response, Paul claims that none of his contributions were reported as required by law to the committee because he is a convicted felon and that only $2,000 contribution was actually refunded. Paul served three years in prison after being convicted on charges of drug possession and attempting to steal millions of dollars from the Cuba government in 1979. Paul also said that Clinton’s reports that Stan Lee Media donated nearly $366,565 to her New York State 2000 campaign are false.
