Oops! Not acting, too. Today’s Hollywood Reporter says 18-year-old popster Britney Spears has signed with a Hollywood talent agency with an eye toward foisting the chart-topper on the world of acting.
To date, Spears’ screen performances have been limited to Disney’s “Mickey Mouse Club” (on which she was a regular from 1992-93) and the compulsory dance numbers in her music videos. The entertainer has never appeared in a feature film and does not boast any extensive dramatic acting experience.
Spears’ last TV performance (outside of her near-daily appearances on MTV’s “Total Request Live”) came last month when she guest hosted NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”
