Sinners Trailer and Release: What To Expect

Arguably the biggest surprise of Sinners‘ trailer is that there is no direct confirmation that the movie involves vampires. When Coogler and Jordan began shopping the project around Hollywood, the plot was a significant mystery, leading to reports of it being a major genre film with franchise potential. It was only later that rumors surfaced that Coogler and Jordan’s movie is a vampire period piece that takes place in a Jim Crow-era South, which looks accurate, while also including a vampire element “of some sort.”

The trailer for Sinners doesn’t actually confirm that the movie is about vampires. Initially, the plot was a secret, with rumors suggesting it was a big genre film with franchise potential. Later, rumors emerged that it’s a vampire movie set in the Jim Crow South, which seems accurate. So, while it looks like a period piece about that era, there’s also some kind of vampire element involved.
