Fans of Little Shop of Horrors have a new reason to visit Skid Row this summer. Ethan Slater and Betsy Wolfe are set to take over the lead roles of Seymour and Audrey in the long-running Off-Broadway revival beginning July 21, 2026.
The pair will replace Jordan Fisher and Nikki M. James, who will conclude their run in the beloved musical on July 19.
Ethan Slater Returns to the Stage
The new casting marks a notable return to New York musical theater for Ethan Slater. While the actor recently appeared Off-Broadway in Marcel on the Train, a play he co-wrote with Marshall Pailet, his last stage musical was the 2023 Broadway revival of Spamalot.
Ethan Slater first gained widespread recognition for his breakout performance in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical. His portrayal of the optimistic sponge earned him a Tony Award nomination and established him as one of Broadway’s standout performers. More recently, he reached a broader audience through his role in the Wicked film adaptation.
Betsy Wolfe Steps Into the Role of Audrey
Joining Slater is Broadway veteran Betsy Wolfe, who will take on the role of Audrey. Wolfe recently appeared in Death Becomes Her as Madeline Ashton, succeeding original star Megan Hilty.
Her extensive Broadway résumé includes performances in Waitress, & Juliet, Falsettos, Bullets Over Broadway, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and Everyday Rapture. Her casting brings another accomplished musical theater favorite to the enduring production.

Over the years, the revival has welcomed an impressive roster of stars in its leading roles.
