Sony Pictures Entertainment, which announced last week that it would join other studios to launch a video-on-demand (VOD) service for PC users, said Tuesday that it will also make its films available on demand via cable TV through In Demand, a pay-per-view enterprise that is jointly owned by AT&T Broadband, AOL Time Warner, Comcast, and Cox Communications. Today’s (Wednesday) Los Angeles Times, citing an executive at In Demand, said that Sony’s film’s could become available via In Demand by the end of the year.
