Coen Brothers to Give TV a Try

ALTIn a move truly no one could’ve ever seen coming, Joel and Ethan Coen are stepping down to the small screen to executive produce a sitcom for Fox.

The Oscar winners co-created HarveKarbo with Cedar Rapids writer Phil Johnston. Imagine TV, whose head honcho Brian Grazer has worked with the Coens in the past and is reportedly credited with convincing them to give TV a try, is also on board.

HarveKarbo is an hourlong single-camera comedy that follows the title character, an L.A. P.I. who often gets involved in shady cases with Hollywood types. The series will reportedly, thankfully, include the Coens’ trademark penchant for offbeat humor and characters.
