Fred Savage to Pull Double Duty on ‘Happy Endings’

Former child star Fred Savage has signed on to direct and guest star on the upcoming season of ABC’s Happy Endings.

The onetime Wonder Years star, who directed a pair of episodes during the series’ first season, will return behind the camera and play himself in a cameo involving star Elisha Cuthbert … and The Princess Bride.

Savage has become a go-to TV director, having helmed various episodes of series like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Modern Family and Party Down.
