There’s been a lot of talk about Anthony Weiner lately. Between the sexting, his wife Huma Abedin, and the ridiculousness that is Carlos Danger, where does one begin? Well, I can’t answer that, but I can direct your attention to someone who has some pretty good advice for Señor Danger. That person is Kristin Chenoweth.
One of Chenoweth’s biggest roles was Glinda in the musical Wicked. And one of her most popular songs from that show was aptly titled “Popular.” Tuesday night Chenoweth made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno where she sang “Popular,” but this time the words were a bit different. Rather than addressing a girl who didn’t fit in with the cool kids, the new lyrics give Weiner a few tips on how to stop being Carlos Danger.
Basically, the song tells Weiner to stop putting a camera down his pants and act like grown man instead of a 17-year-old. There’s some advice for Abedin in the song as well. But the main point is really that Carlos Danger needs to go away and never come back. Also there are some “la la’s” in there to make everyone feel happy and encouraging.
Listen to Kristin, Weiner. Chenoweth is trying to help here. Let’s hope he gets the idea and learns how to become “the right kind of popular.”
