Sandler TV show gets scrapped

It seems Adam Sandler‘s film company, Happy Madison Prods., won’t be seeing its new TV show Leave Me Alone on NBC anytime soon.

The sitcom pilot starring ex-Saturday Night Liveers Norm Macdonald and Jon Lovitz was canned Monday after an argument about potential syndication revenues, Variety reports.

Apparently, NBC has added a new clause in its pilot contracts, requiring the network to act in “good faith” to prevent NBC from selling rerun rights to NBC-owned stations at bottom prices.

Unhappy with the new terms set in the NBC pilot contract, the Endeavor Agency and Brillstein-Gray Entertainment (which represent Sandler and Happy Madison Prods.) refused to sign any deals.

Other networks could pick up the show, but it may prove tricky since NBC owns the script.
