New subscribers to AOL Time Warner Inc.’s flagship Internet service in the United States will be the first people to score tickets to Madonna‘s “Drowned World Tour 2001,” her first world tour in eight years. According to Reuters, new subscribers to the AOL service have the chance to buy concert tickets on Sunday, a week before tickets go on sale to the general public. Current AOL subscribers also will have a chance to purchase tickets Monday. “It’s a special promotion because it pulls together a number of different interests with the result creating a lot of value for members and encouraging new subscribers,” Kevin Conroy, head of AOL Music, told Reuters.
