Rachel Zegler is set to bring Eva Perón to Broadway in Evita, and she will be joined by two of her London co-stars when the musical revival arrives in New York next year.
Diego Rodriguez and James Olivas will reprise their roles as Che and Juan Perón, respectively. The casting was announced by producers Jamie Lloyd and Michael Harrison, reuniting the trio following their acclaimed run of the production in London.
Zegler, who was previously announced as the Broadway production’s Eva Perón, will lead the cast as the iconic Argentine political figure. Rodriguez, an Olivier Award nominee, will take on the role of Che, while Olivas will make his Broadway debut as Juan Perón.
When Does Evita Come to Broadway?
Evita will begin Broadway previews at the Winter Garden Theatre on February 27, 2027. The official opening night is scheduled for March 25, 2027.
The production is directed by Jamie Lloyd, who previously helmed the London staging. The Broadway transfer will continue the revival’s new interpretation of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s classic musical.

Alongside Rachel Zegler, Rodriguez and Olivas, the Broadway cast will feature Bella Brown as The Mistress, with Brown also scheduled to portray Eva Perón at select performances. Ángel Lozada will play Agustín Magaldi.
The ensemble includes Giuseppe Bausilio, Mely Berdion, Brandon Borkowsky, Ayla Ciccone-Burton, Grace Conrad, Christian Jesús Galvis, Tommy Gedrich, Sydney Jones, Natasha Leaver, Maggie Likcani, Mireia Mambo, Sebastian Martinez, Justice Moore, Pepe Muñoz, Julio Rey, Ken San Jose, Victor Carrillo Tracey, Damani Van Rensalier and J’Kobe Wallace.
With its London cast members making the transition to Broadway, Evita will give audiences a chance to see Rachel Zegler step into the celebrated role of Eva Perón in a highly anticipated new stage production.
