Carter signs his “X” again

Fox is expected to announce Thursday that it has concluded a deal with producer Chris Carter that will bring The X-Files back for another season next fall, published reports said Thursday. The network is also expected to announce that it will bring the reality series Temptation Island back next season, slotting it in the hotly contested 9p.m. hour on Thursdays opposite NBC’s Must-See-TV comedies and CBS’s hot new drama series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Meanwhile, UPN announced Wednesday that it has agreed to pick up Roswell, the sci-fi drama that The WB dropped earlier this month.
