Director Bay sued

The director of Pearl Harbor, this summer’s most anticipated film, is now in the spotlight for another reason: he’s being sued. Michael Bay has been slapped with a lawsuit by screenwriter Mark Pittman, who alleges Bay neglected to include him in the production of a project Pittman originally introduced to Bay. Pittman is suing Bay for $2 million on charges of breach of express oral contract, breach of fiduciary duty and unfair competition over the production of King’s Ransom–in development at Disney–which Pittman claims he brought to Bay‘s attention in 2000.
