Downey not expected in court

Back in rehab after violating his parole last week, Robert Downey Jr. will have his lawyers ask to reschedule Monday’s court hearing related to his November arrest on drug possession charges, according to ABC News. Downey, who continues to run afoul of the law because of his drug addiction, was arrested in November in a Palm Springs hotel after police reportedly found cocaine and Valium in his room. The Ally McBeal costar, on parole from a previous drug-related conviction, was charged Tuesday with being under the influence of a controlled substance. He will remain in rehab for at least six months. Ally McBeal producers are hastily rewriting the show’s season finale in the wake of Downey‘s current legal woes.
