Actor Robert Downey Jr., who was arrested in November in Palm Springs, Calif., on drug-related charges, has reached a tentative agreement with prosecutors, according to People magazine. In a bid to avoid possibly going to jail, Downey will reportedly plead no contest to two of the three charges against him. He faces charges of cocaine possession, being under the influence of drugs and possessing Valium without a prescription. In exchange for his plea, the ex-Ally McBeal star would remain in a residential drug treatment center for six to 12 months. He had refused a plea-bargain deal last month. Downey also reportedly violated his parole in April when he was arrested in Culver City, Calif., on a charge of being under the influence of drugs stemming from a 1996 drug conviction and weapons charge. The case is set to resume July 16.
