Dreyfuss joins SAG board

First, he battled Jaws. Now, Oscar-winner Richard Dreyfuss is taking on sharks of a different nature. Hollywood sharks, to be exact. Dreyfuss has joined the national board of the Screen Actors Guild, Variety reports. Dreyfuss, a vocal supporter of last year’s SAG strike against advertisers, became a board member three months ago, but SAG failed to make an announcement at the time. He joins other such high-profile board members as Joe Pantoliano, Valerie Harper and Elliott Gould. SAG will resume its film/TV contract negotiations with producers on Wednesday.
