Tom Hanks, who produced, wrote and directed segments of the upcoming HBO World War II miniseries Band of Brothers, premiered the epic on Wednesday in Normandy, France, site of the D-Day invasion. Hanks told Reuters: “We hope to entertain those in search of a good story, educate those who are unaware of their own history.” Brothers debuts on American television in Sept., airing as a 10-part series.
