Heston gets another term as NRA chief

Charlton Heston was overwhelmingly re-elected Monday to a fourth term as president of the controversial National Rifle Association. Heston will continue as spokesman for the 4.3 million-member gun rights advocacy group, a position he’s held since 1998, Reuters reports. Last year the NRA changed its bylaws to allow Heston a third one-year term as president, proving – despite the NRA’s objections to altering the Second Amendment – that constitutions can be changed. Heston was re-elected unanimously by the 76 board of directors at the NRA’s 130th annual convention in Kansas City.
