Hollywood watchdog Sen. Joseph Lieberman will pen a book about his failed 2000 vice presidential bid for Simon & Schuster, a corporate sibling of the Lieberman-attacked MTV, Variety reports. The Connecticut Democrat continually denounces MTV’s prank-driven Jackass, which reportedly has inspired a series of dangerous copycat stunts resulting in several injuries. Lieberman and his wife Hadassah will receive an advance of $100,000 from the Viacom-owned Simon & Schuster. He campaigned last year as Al Gore’s running mate.
