New Orleans to honor Louis Armstrong

New Orleans International Airport might soon honor one of the city’s most beloved personality, Louis Armstrong, by changing its name, the Associated Press reports. Mayor Marc Morial asked the New Orleans City Council and the Aviation Board to pass an ordinance making the proposed name official. The name change could be done in time to celebrate the late trumpeter’s 100 birthday on Aug. 4.
