Gene Simmons of KISS, who produced the ill-fated “Detroit Rock City” movie, is developing a new flick called “Jon Sable, Freelance,” according to Variety. Based upon a 1980s comic book about an African big-game hunter who writes children’s books in his spare time, the property was made into a short-live TV series in the late 1980s, with Rene Russo playing the hero’s girlfriend.
