Sorkin’s humble humor

West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin, who was arrested on drug-possession charges last month, was honored by the International Radio and Television Society Foundation at a ceremony held Wednesday in New York. According to The Associated Press, Sorkin, 39, received the foundation’s annual award for his work on West Wing, but in his acceptance speech, he turned the occasion into an opportunity for some self-deprecation. Said Sorkin: “When you feel stupid and embarrassed, facing a ballroom full of distinguished people in your industry is just what the doctor ordered.”
