Actor Robert Redford wants environmental activists to join him in protesting President Bush’s plans to drill for oil in an Alaskan wildlife refuge. Redford, a member of the Natural Resources Defense Council, wrote to activists asking them to campaign against the Bush-approved plan to allow oil drilling in the Alaskan Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. “I think [Bush is] pretty well a puppet for the interests behind him. He and the vice president come from the oil business, which gave them the money to get elected,” Redford told The Washington Post.
