Broadway favorite Jane Krakowski is stepping back onto the stage this fall as the next star of Cole Escola’s hit comedy Oh, Mary! at the Lyceum Theatre. The Tony Award–winning actress will take over the role from Jinkx Monsoon for a limited eight-week engagement running October 14 through December 7, 2025.
A Return to Broadway for Jane Krakowski
Krakowski has deep Broadway roots, making her debut in Starlight Express in 1987 before appearing in classics like Grand Hotel, Company, and Once Upon a Mattress. She won a Tony Award in 2003 for her unforgettable turn as Carla in Nine, where she performed “A Call From the Vatican” in a gravity-defying aerial silks routine. In recent years, she’s become best known to television audiences as the eccentric Jenna Maroney on NBC’s 30 Rock, though she earned another Tony nomination in 2016 for her role in She Loves Me.
In a statement, Krakowski called Escola’s play “a comedic work of genius” and expressed excitement about joining the lineup of performers who’ve embodied the role, including Escola, Betty Gilpin, Tituss Burgess, and Monsoon.

Oh, Mary! takes a wildly irreverent look at Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to her husband’s assassination. Reimagined as a cabaret-obsessed, hard-drinking socialite, Mary is at the center of Escola’s absurd and subversive vision. Since its Off-Broadway premiere in 2024, the show has become a sensation, earning two Tony Awards in 2025 and breaking box-office records at the Lyceum Theatre.
With Krakowski at the helm this fall, fans can expect her trademark wit, energy, and stage presence to bring a fresh spark to one of Broadway’s most talked-about productions.
